Preparing people for a global world
Euroweek is an international program that develops intellectual ability, leadership, creativity, communication and social skills. It combines formal, non-formal and cross-cultural approaches to prepare its participants for life in a global world.
The goal of the foundation is quality, intensive training in self-development — run not as lectures but as a shared experience between international volunteers and Polish participants, in the towns of the Kłodzko Valley where the program has lived since 1994.
What we work towards
The foundation sets itself five concrete aims in every seminar it runs:
- To develop leadership in young people and adults — the ability to take initiative and guide a group.
- To build self-confidence, especially in speaking a foreign language with strangers.
- To improve English communication through daily, natural use.
- To support the integration of cultures — putting Polish participants, international volunteers and their traditions in one room.
- To build friendship and cooperation between Youth Leaders and participants that often outlasts the seminar itself.
What participants gain
When a Euroweek works as intended, the foundation expects these documented, observable changes in its participants:
- Improved confidence in using English — speaking without fear of mistakes.
- Global integration through friendship with volunteers from many countries.
- Cultivated social, intellectual and creativity skills from daily workshops and games.
- Greater activity in community, national and international issues — at school, at university and at work.
These outcomes come directly from the foundation's own program description. We do not publish invented statistics — the best evidence is the continued return of schools, the growth of the volunteer network, and the media coverage collected on our About Us page.
From purpose to a real week in the mountains
Non-formal education
No grades, no desks facing the front. Learning happens in workshops, games, debates and shared activities.
Intensive format
Five, seven or ten full days away from routine — long enough for new habits and friendships to form.
Cross-cultural approach
International Youth Leaders teach through who they are — their language, stories, food, music and everyday life.
Multiple intelligences
Intellectual, social, communication, leadership and creative abilities are trained side by side, not separately.
Every activity on our Activities page and every program on our Projects page exists to serve this mission. If our goals sound like something your school or group needs, write to us.
