Our Activities

Intensive trainings and workshops that create and enhance multiple intelligences — designed around the skills each group needs most.

The idea

Skills first, subjects second

The goal of every Euroweek seminar is the same: intensive trainings and workshops that create and enhance multiple intelligences in the participants. The program concentrates on four target skill areas — intellectual, social, communication and leadership abilities — and uses a cross-cultural approach that gives every workshop a much wider perspective than a single classroom could.

What that means in practice depends on the group. A week for primary pupils looks nothing like a weekend for professionals — but both are built from the same toolkit of workshops, games and conversations, adjusted in content, language and pace.

Four skill areas

What we train

Intellectual skills

Critical and analytical thinking, problem solving, general knowledge shared through country presentations and themed debates.

Social skills

Teamwork, listening, empathy and cooperation — practised in mixed international groups from the first morning.

Communication skills

English in daily use, presentation techniques, body language, group discussion and public speaking.

Creativity and leadership

Innovation workshops, creative challenges, moving debates and tasks that hand the group over to its participants.

Format and place

Where and how seminars happen

A standard seminar lasts 5, 7 or 10 days — sometimes longer, according to the school's request. Groups live and work in one of the four towns that have hosted Euroweek for decades: Międzygórze, Rozanka, Długopole Zdrój or Długopole Dolne, all in the Kłodzko Valley.

Days are full: morning workshops, afternoon activities and games, cultural evenings prepared by the volunteers, and trips to nearby towns and mountains. Everything runs in English — with other languages appearing naturally depending on who the volunteers are.

For schools that cannot travel to the valley, the program travels instead: two Youth Leaders visit schools anywhere in Poland. You can read the conditions on the Get Involved page.

A multilingual space

English is the common language of every seminar. Depending on the current team of volunteers, participants may also hear — and try — other languages, which have included over the years:

  • Spanish
  • French
  • Italian
  • Russian
  • Chinese
  • Swahili
  • and other Asian languages

Our students

The program runs for primary school, junior high school and high school students, as well as university students and adults. Each age group gets its own adjusted activities — read more on the Projects page.
