English, leadership and friendship — the Euroweek way
An educational foundation from the Kłodzko Valley, bringing together Polish students, adult learners and volunteers from all over the world for weeks of non-formal learning that stay with people for life.
Non-formal education with a cultural twist
Euroweek is an educational program and seminar for students of every age — and, for several years now, for adult learners too. Participants spend a week (or longer) speaking English every day, working in international teams and discovering how much they can do when they step outside their usual routine.
The heart of the program is the meeting of cultures. International volunteers — our Youth Leaders — come from countries around the world and share the history, economy, tourism, culture and traditions of their home countries in an interactive way, not from a textbook.
Learning happens through multiple areas of intelligence: cross-cultural understanding, social and communication skills, intellectual challenges and creativity. Team building games sit next to workshops on language, listening, role playing, presentation techniques, motivational talks and group discussion.
Older groups take on problem solving, leadership, creativity, project management, debates — including refugee and stereotyping workshops that ask difficult questions in a safe space.
Programs run at a length and pace that suits each school: typically 5, 7, 10 or more days, arranged according to the school's request. The seminars take place in Międzygórze, Rozanka, Długopole Zdrój and Długopole Dolne — small mountain towns in the Kłodzko Valley that have been home to Euroweek since the very beginning.
Depending on the group and the volunteers taking part, sessions may be led in English as well as other languages — over the years our teams have included speakers of Spanish, French, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Swahili and various Asian languages.
There are five program lines: Primary School, Jr. High School, High School, Euroweek University for students, and the Global Village program for adults. Each one follows the same idea — intensive, friendly, practical learning.
"Every Euroweek Experience is fun and different."
Five program lines, one idea
From the youngest pupils to professionals, every Euroweek program adapts the same proven format to the age and needs of its group.
Primary School
First encounters with English and with the wider world — through games, songs, movement and plenty of smiles, adapted to the youngest age group.
Jr. High School
Language practice mixed with life lessons and motivational workshops that support teenagers at a time when confidence matters most.
High School
Critical and analytical thinking, creativity workshops, self-confidence activities and outdoor challenges that help students find their individuality.
Euroweek University
A seminar edition for university students: English enhancement, debates, negotiations and career preparation, run peer-to-peer by volunteers from around the world.
Global Village for Adults
A weekend program for professionals and teachers of any generation — improve your English interactively, learn about other cultures and refresh your energy.
International Euroweek
A 10-day leadership and cultural exchange in Bystrzyca Kłodzka for participants from anywhere in the world, with trips across Poland and Europe.
Skills that school timetables rarely have room for
For many participants, a Euroweek week is the first time they speak English with someone who doesn't understand Polish. That one experience does more for confidence than years of classroom drills — and it changes how they see themselves and the world.
The program was created by students, for students, in 1994, and it has kept the same spirit: young people learn best from other young people. Volunteers arrive not as distant teachers but as near-peers, and the friendships formed across continents are often the part participants remember longest.
In a region like the Kłodzko Valley, these seminars also mean something very practical: for over twenty years they have brought life, learning and international exchange to small mountain towns far from Poland's academic centres.
Read our missionLanguages in practice
English is the working language of every seminar — spoken, not studied, from breakfast to evening activities.
Intercultural meeting
Volunteers from Africa, the Americas, Asia and Europe share their countries first-hand — music, food, language and everyday life.
Leadership and confidence
Workshops on goal setting, teamwork, debates and presentations give participants tools they use long after the week ends.
A place with history
Founded in 1994, grown from one seminar a month into several running simultaneously at peak season.
